Poetic Musings of a Southerner

Change

Written: January 14, 2026

As the leaves go
So our lives go
Rapidly
Violently
Ripped, thrashed, torn, bandaged

Anew

Before you can blink, roots rot, branches break, colors disintegrate

Only the strong survive.

Change.

    Beautifully thought out.
The older you get the more meaningful this is. I am still surviving, but losing strength.
